CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The annual Big South Conference Football Media Day is set to take place on Tuesday, July 26 at the Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites hotel in Charlotte, N.C. The event will kickoff the 15th season of Big South football and features a luncheon at 12:00 pm followed by interview sessions with local, regional and national media outlets.
As part of the event, the conference will announce its annual preseason poll and preseason All-Conference teams in a video presentation. In addition, all six Big South head football coaches will speak at the luncheon and the preseason Players of the Year will be recognized. The preseason poll and preseason All-Conference teams will first be posted on the Big South’s Social Media platforms, and later available online at www.BigSouthSports.com starting at 1:30 pm Tuesday afternoon.
Again this year, the Big South Network will broadcast interviews with each team’s head coach and student-athletes in attendance as part of a live show hosted by Mike Hogewood starting at approximately 1:30 pm (see below for full schedule). In addition, ESPN3 will carry the event for the third consecutive year.
Fans can also follow Football Media Day on Twitter using #BSCMediaDay, and can begin to submit questions in advance for each team via that hashtag as well as on Facebook at www.facebook.com/bigsouthsports. All submitted questions will be answered on both platforms throughout the day Tuesday, along with various posts on the Big South’s Snapchat and Instagram accounts.
