It's summer camps time
YMCA camps offer practice and instruction in variety of activities
Volleyball and girls basketball tipped off the Clinton Family YMCA summer camp series beginning last week. The upcoming camps are:
--Baseball, June 20-24, 9 a.m. - noon, Coach Lee Atkinson;
--Golf, June 21-23, 9 a.m. - noon at Lakeside Country Club, instructor Kasay Holbrook;
--Basketball, July 11-13, 9 a.m. - noon, boys and girls 5-8; July 18-21, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., boys and girls 9-12; July 25-28, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., boys and girls 12-18, Coach Tevin Moore;
--Tennis, June 20-23, 9-9:45 a.m., boys and girls 4-6; 10-11 a.m., boys and girls 7-10; 11-noon, boys and girls 11-up, Coach Clovis Simmons;
--Marksmanship, air rifle and archery, July 18-21, 8-10 a.m., boys and girls 4th and 5th grades; 10-noon, boys and girls, 6th - 8th grades; at Clinton High, sponsored by CHS JROTC;
--Football, June 14-16, 5-6:30 p.m., boys and girls 8-12, at Clinton High practice field, Coach Anson Cunningham;
--Art, June 27-30, 1-3 p.m., boys and girls 7-12, instructor Angela Shiflet;
--Softball, June 28-30 or July 12-14, 2-5 p.m., girls 2nd - 8th grads, Coach Joe Terry;
--Horse Riding, contact Palmetto Equestrian Riding Program, 923-4998, June 20-23, June 27-30, July 11-14, 8:30 a.m. - noon, boys and girls 5-12.
