PC: A winning Day

2 basketball, softball & baseball wins are in the books for Blue Hose athletics

ROUNDUP: Presbyterian College wins contests in men's and women's basketball, softball and baseball on Successful Saturday.

The Blue Hose men's basketball team - behind 28 points (17, 2nd half) from DeSean Murray - won at Liberty, 79-73. On Saturday (Feb. 27), both basketball teams are home - women v Winthrop at 2 pm; men v High Point at 4:30.

PC softball won twice in a tournament - 8-2 over Stony Brook, and 1-0 over St. Joseph. Natasha Sherrod threw 3 scoreless innings against Stony Brook, and Katie Brown tossed a 2-hit shutout against St. Joseph.

PC baseball defeated Fordham, 7-1, behind 5.1 strong innings from Brian Kehner, surrendering just 3 hits.

Third in the Big South Conference, PC women's basketball won at home over Campbell, 64-54, behind 17 points from Salina Virola. See more at www.gobluehose.com

 

 

PC lacrosse is home at Old Bailey Stadium Sunday v Cincinnati, noon, and baseball is on the home diamond Tuesday v Furman, 2 pm, as 2016 spring season gets rolling.
