Anderson charges include assault by mob in Clinton incident

A man known as “Chief” is in jail today on allegations he and two others invaded a residence in Clinton on the last day of 2015.

The alleged home invasion happened at a dwelling on Florida Street, a report said. Authorities arrested and charged Rodrick Devonziek Anderson, 26, of 590 Phillips St., Apt K4, Clinton, in connection with the incident. He was held pending bond at the Johnson Detention Center on charges of burglary 1st degree, armed robbery, assault and battery by a mob 3rd degree, use of a weapon in the commission of a crime, and criminal conspiracy.

The allegations against Anderson are he participated in an armed robbery inside the Florida Street residence while armed with a pistol. The home invaders demanded money from the resident, and injured the resident. Anderson was arrested Monday for the Dec. 31 incident, a report said.
