Streetscape 4 begins
City of Clinton and Streetscape Phase IV design and construction officials gathered Friday afternoon for a ceremonial groundbreaking for the latest uptown Clinton beautification effort.
Improvements will be focused along the western side of North Broad Street between West Main and Florida streets, and the northern side of West Main between North Broad and Wall streets. A City of Clinton statement said project is designed to "continue work from previous phases of the Downtown Streetscape program."
"The planned improvement will mirror the theme and elements of previous phases of the program, and will include new granite curb, decorative brick paver and scored concrete sidewalks, and appropriate landscaping," the statement said. Decorative signage, flag poles, lighting and landscaping will be added to the MS Bailey Municipal building.
Construction will begin this month.
