Small biz taps the web

March 31 workshop is designed to be empowering for the small business community
The more successful (small businesses) are the healthier our local economy becomes.”

The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce is excited to present the Small Business Empowerment Series.

The Small Business Empowerment Series is a revolutionary approach to connect Lauren County’s entrepreneurs with resources of best practices that may easily translate into success stories in Laurens County’s market.

The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to assessing the needs of its membership and researching the most appropriate methods to meet those respective needs. While engaging with the small business membership, the Chamber recognizes the need to empower the entrepreneurs to reach their full business potential.

Chamber President/CEO Greg Alexander said, “The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce is very excited to offer this new program in support of our county small businesses. Small business owners have shared with us their needs and we are working to provide the tools to make their businesses even stronger. As we know, they are the backbone of our local economy providing local jobs, goods and services to the residents of Laurens County.

“The more successful they are the healthier our local economy becomes.”

The Small Business Empowerment Series will provide opportunities to embrace best practices in areas such as web design, marketing and promotions, social media platforms, finance, customer service, and employee recruitment and retention. Additional sessions will be developed according to future assessments and requests. The Chamber will track the small businesses that attend and implement the best practices. The Chamber is optimistic that participants will see a tremendous return on their investments, Alexander said.

The first session in the series is Thursday, March 31, at 8 until 9:30 am at the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce Training Room at 291 Professional Park Road in Clinton.

The session is Website Design for Small Businesses and will be instructed by Susan Tallman. The sessions are free for Chamber members and $10 per session for non-Chamber members.  A light breakfast will be served.  For more information, please visit www.laurenscounty.org.
