Clinton will welcome back into the community a long-time partner on March 3, as Bailey Manor Christian Retirement Community celebrates its Grand Re-Opening. Bailey Manor has been closed since August 27, 2014 when an independent living resident drove his car into the building setting it on fire and causing extensive damage. Stressing the community’s Christian mission which includes providing a safe and secure environment, Stanley says, “Staff emergency preparation contributed to all residents and staff getting to safety in under 8 minutes.”

A small army of professional contractors, interior designers, staff members, and volunteers have worked since then to bring Bailey Manor back to life. The remodeling cost was a multi-million dollar project. Stanley says, “We have risen from the ashes, literally.” Residents moved back into Bailey Manor beginning in mid-December.

Bailey Manor Christian Retirement Community invites the public to two Grand Re-Opening events on Thursday, March 3. Officials of the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce will stage a ribbon cutting at 2:30 p.m. A grand gala will begin at 6 p.m. with entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, and tours.
