Eastside Elementary students become characters, helpers and animals

Families and friends found Eastside Elementary School alive Monday night with famous figures from the past, exotic animals and people who help within the community. It was the school's 6th Annual Wax Museum, for students in 5K, 1st and 4th grades.

The Wax Museum for grades 2, 3 and 5 is open to the public Thursday evening, doors open at 6 pm and presentations will last until 7, at Eastside Elementary, just off Springdale Drive in Clinton.

People attending the event have the chance to "push a button" and see the famous historical figure, animal or community helper talk about his or her background and/or characteristics. It gives the children a chance to learn by becoming someone or something they are interested in learning more about. It's fun for everyone, and it gives older students the chance to learn and develop researching skills.

The Wax Museum for grades 2, 3 & 5 will be Thursday, March 3, 6-7 pm, at Eastside Elementary School. The public is invited
