Nick Nichols announces re-election campaign for coroner
Laurens County Coroner F.G. “Nick” Nichols announced he will seek re-election in 2016. Nichols is a 34-year veteran in the coroner’s office after serving as chief deputy coroner under the late Dr. Zack Seymore.
“If re-elected, I will continue to maintain a professional and accountable coroner’s office. In order for the best investigations to be conducted, many agencies must work together. I will continue to promote professionalism, teamwork, and integrity,” Nichols said.
Nichols is a retired, self-employed businessman, having been owner of Nichol’s Texaco, Nichol’s Lift Trucks and Nichol’s Properties Incorporated for over 30 years. He retired from these businesses in 2001 and has served full-time as Laurens County Coroner, along with Chief Deputy Coroner/Administrative Assistant Vickie Cheek and Shelton England, Cameron Eller and Michael Williams.
