Lake Greenwood on county agenda
Laurens County Council will have its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday, 5:30 pm in the council chambers, second floor of the historic courthouse in downtown Laurens.
The meeting is open to the public; anyone who wants to address council during public comments time (approx. 6 pm) must register before the meeting starts.
The council’s agenda includes final reading, public hearing - FILOT for Emitec Inc.; Preserving Lake Greenwood, master plan for lake presented by Phil Linder, director of planning, Greenwood County; update on activities of the Laurens County Development Corporation, Jon Coleman, executive director; second reading to expand Octagon Industrial Park to include D&W Fine Pack; second reading to exchange property with the City of Laurens.
Also, first reading of FILOT for Project Duo; discussion - council committee of the whole - Laurens County Emergency Medical Services (Dianne Anderson, chair); discussion/clarification - fourth Tuesday meetings of council; administrative report, 15-minute public comments time, and comments from council members.
A closed-to-the-public, executive session will be held to discuss an employment matter (under provisions of the SC Freedom of Information Act). No vote can be taken in closed session, all action must be ratified in open session.
