David Tribble is candidate for Laurens County Auditor
Former Clinton Mayor David Tribble Jr. announced he will seek the Republican nomination for the position of Laurens County Auditor.
“The auditor’s position is part of the economic development team for Laurens County. The auditor
values all personal property, including industrial manufacturing equipment, for the county,” Tribble said. “The complex agreements with new and existing industry are the auditor’s responsibility to manage.
“I have the academic, the cost accounting, the leadership and the industrial recruitment experience to add value to this important function,” said Tribble.
Tribble said he is a lifelong conservative. He was elected to Laurens County Council and to the South Carolina House as a Republican. Tribble was twice elected mayor and once to Clinton City Council in non-partisan elections.
“We need conservatives in the administration,
to represent the people, in addition to legislative and executive positions,” said Tribble.
Tribble finished his Master of Public Administration degree from Clemson in 2010, while serving on Laurens County Council, just before serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives.
Tribble is a graduate of Presbyterian College and was named its Outstanding Young Alumni in 1991.
