Culinary competition Thursday; Three Score and Ten dinner March 19
Culinary Competition observes March as National Nutrition Month March is National Nutrition Month. As a way to celebrate, the District 56 Child Nutrition Services team offers its first Culinary Competition at Eastside Elementary on Thursday. The competition will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will last approximately an hour. Three Score and Ten dinner will honor those 70 and older The Three Score and Ten Dinner, celebrating God’s favored according to Psalm 90:10, will be March 19, 3:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church Christian Life Center in Clinton. The versus says, “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they are fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.” Children will honor seniors in the churches and community. All attendees age 70 and older will be recognized, and a special gift will be presented to the oldest member of participating churches. A catered dinner will be served. Tickets are $12 for seniors, 70 and older; $20 for all others. Tickets day of the event are $25 for everybody. Info: Annette Lee, 864-923-6813.
