Animal control on agenda
Laurens County Council tonight will consider an agreement with the Cities of Laurens and Clinton for animal control services. The council meeting will be at 5:30 pm in council chambers, second floor of the historic courthouse in downtown Laurens. The meeting is open to the public - anyone wishing to speak to council during public comments (approx. 6 pm) must register before the meeting starts.
County Public Works Director Rob Russian will present a proposed agreement pertaining to animal control. Other agenda items include public hearing on ordinance transferring real estate for an economic development project, Laurens County FY 2014 Financial Report (Craig Moye, Mauldin & Jenkins, CPA, LCC), resolution removing 18 acres from City of Clinton for an economic development project, agreement on Project Duo, allocation requests - Laurens County Accommodation Tax Advisory Committee (Andy Howard, director, LC Parks, Recreation & Tourism), committee assignment for Preserving Lake Greenwood master plan, administrative report, comments from council members, and closed to the public, executive session to discuss filling the County Administrator position.
The next meetings of Laurens County Council will be Feb. 23, March 8, and March 22.
